This small tree is an early bloomer with white showy flowers replaced by small round green berries which turn purple when ripe in early summer. The edible fruit and flowers attract birds and butterflies. The small stature makes this tree suited to plant under power lines. Tolerates a wide range of soils, including clay. Commonly called Juneberry.
